Help, i have scoliosis.?

i have been waiting for an appointment with a specialist for almost a year and a half. my family doctor says that it might take more time for me to get an appointment. my spine has a small curve, which caused my right side of my chest bone to go forward. it looks really bad. what can i do to get an appointment faster. it would mean allot if someone could help me.
