What does collector mean in this term?

in pennsylvainia, only collectors are allowed to own switchblades. what does this mean? like am i a collector if i say i want to collect them? or do i have to get some sort of license?

What is the best/most intimidating SOG knife for self-defense?

I go to college in the city and especially in certain areas it isn't safe but we're not allowed to have CC firearms on campus (this is in Ohio). I am 14 years old, 5'7" and I weigh 121 pounds. It is really gross because I am so so so fat. If I make one move my fat stomache jiggles an my legs are so wide it is digesting. I am really overweight. I have been dieting for about one week now and have lost only 6 pounds. The only problem with this diet is I eat 500 calories and sometimes I get hungry. Also when I try to exercise I fell like I am about to faint. Yesterday i had only ran 3 miles and I got really dizzy and passed out. You can also disable services that arent being used by your system for a little boost. Oftentimes computers will have virtual memory enabled, in which they are taking harddrive space and letting the processor use it as memory, it might help but more often then not it does not solve problem. If you are on a laptop make sure it is plugged into wall, otherwise you are running at half-speed. I know there are mods for minecraft that decrease the memory footprint of minecraft as well. What to do with a 8 week-old fussy baby?

My daughter is 8 weeks old and has been a really fussy baby. She is still fed and sleeps on demand (every ~3 hrs during the day and ~4 hrs between 11pm-7am). she sleeps ok during the night and before noon, but she pretty much spends all her waking hrs between noon and 10pm crying whenever she is awake. She eats ok every meal, then I'd burp her, change her diaper... and then she'd start crying. I tried putting her in the bouncer, hold her at different positions, jiggling, singing, etc. --- nothing works. the crying would continue until she grows tired and takes a 30 min nap until the next feeding. Help with my toilet pump?

My toilet lately has been flushing but not refilling the tank with water. When I flush the toilet, it sometimes will refill. Mostly, the water just RUSHES out so quickly, the pump never kicks in. i think they don't lay around and watch tv all day...ya its summer its easy to be lazy and every now and then its alright but just go do stuff. Ask friends to go play football or basketball or something and get a game going that way your being active. If you go to a gym do weights with lots of reps with low weight and that way you tone your body and you will look cut pretty quickly depending on how much over weight you might or might not be.

First off, this forum is the WORST place to try and find out if you have diabetes. Go to the doctor and pee in the little cup! Second, Type ones always inject (or pump) and T2's sometimes have to inject. The shots really don't hurt (my son is the diabetic, but we all had to practice on each other when we were learning to give shots). The needles are very fine and you will learn your own technique to make sure it doesn't hurt. So,just get to the doctor. Nothing can go forward until you find out for sure. Good luck!

When we hold on the connector it's fine, we jiggle the wires and it cuts out. We left the unit open in hopes the vibration would not affect it. It seemed to work but then it stalled again. I was at a job interview, and came out to start my car only to find that my ignition is locked! I can pull the key out and put it in, but it's a tiny bit sticky pulling it out. The steering wheel is also locked. The steering wheel also looks like it could be upside down but the wheels are straight and I'm not on a hill. Automatic, and the gear is stuck in park. This has never happened before ever and I have tried jiggling the steering wheel both gently and rough to free up the lock to no success. The steering wheel has very little room to give as it is locked because of the anti theft feature. The key isn't worn as far as I can tell. I honestly believe it is just locked or jammed up because the steering wheel was in such an awkward position when I shut the car off. I always lock the steering wheel when the car isn't being used but this is the first time the ignition has acted up

I got stabbed in the leg over a week ago and still feel pain and muscle tension. What should I do?

Almost two weeks ago I was stabbed in the upper leg area by a switchblade. There wasn't a whole lot of bleeding, so I just cleaned the wound and dressed it to the best of my ability, and went about my business. The actual wound has healed up and looks fine, but the muscle in that leg is still stiff and hurting, which makes it difficult to go up stairs, run, or even walk long distances. For various reasons I cannot go see a doctor. So that being said, I have several questions really: Is this pain and muscle stiffness normal for mild stab wounds? About how much longer will it last? What can I do to treat the pain (otc topical anesthetics and lots of otc pain pills help, but not much), and/or regain normal leg movement? I suppose if it is something to worry about I could go see a doctor, but I'd definitely rather not, so I just want to know if that's really necessary, what I can do on my own, and what a doctor would even do if I did go see one.

13 year old male, Is it normal to get fatter during puberty?

I'm a 13 year old boy, I started puberty at about 12 years old and since then I started getting fatter. I used to be a bit skinny and my big brother who is now 16 is really skinny and kind of has a six pack but he barely does any exercise. I do a lot of sports but it never affects my weight. I feel a bit low on confidence because of my weight. It's kind of a bummer because there's a girl I like in school. ok so there's only 2 weeks left of school for me and over the summer i wanna get a fit body! i'lll probanbly start today! i'm 13 and i weigh about 125 and i'm 5'4 so i'm not fat pretty skinny actually. but i have jiggly thighs and its annoying to have great looking legs while standing up then when sitting down to have jiggly thighs. my arms also jiggle and my stomach is sorta flat but its a little poochy and it does jiggle to so bassically i need to build muscle. i eat pretty healthy everyday (rice and beans for dinner) but i eat some bad stuff which i will cut down on everyday and i will get my mom to buy healtier stuff but for now i really need some exercises i can do! i already know sit ups will work but what else. i also have some weights and an ab roll i can use (you just roll on it and it makes abs its worked for both of my brothers i used to use it but gave up lol). i don't want abs though just a hard flat stomach nice legs that don't jiggle to much but are toned and fit arms.

What if I don't heal in allotted time while in AIT? Are there medical benefits?

I'm in AIT, and was sent home on con leave for stress fract. to the hips. I go back to the base next week (can't wait), but my hips hurt worse then when i came home. I've been off my feet religeously. I've been very nervous about this whole thing, because I am 42 and joined the Army just one week before the age cut-off - so I tried to be extra cautious about not getting injured in BCT. It did sneak up on me, however., but I was able to pass my PT test. (today I can't even imagine attempting to run). Anyway - the doc told me I have 30 days con leave, then 60 days when I get back to recover, and if I don't then I will be medically discharged. I've been reading others' experiences, and some people said they took alot longer than 90 days to heal, so at my age, I've become nervous. I don't want to leave the Army, but if I end up needing the surgery, or if I don't heal within the 90 days allotted, will I receive medical help for my hips afterward?? I read you have to be in for 180 days to get help after, but is that altogether true?? If they decide not to keep me, can I fight to stay in anyway? i don't want to get out of the Army, but if I am forced out, can I expect any further help with my hips?? (those are two seperate scenarios - so I'd like to know what my options are) -- Or does anyone know who I should be asking these questions to? thanks in advance!

5'6, 130 average weight for a 14 year old guy?

I'm currently 113, and 5'6. I'm starting to feel sick, I eat lots of fiber and not a lot of variety of food.. I usualy stick to about 2-3 things and repeat it. I'm not over weight by any means and my thighs aren't huge, but they look out of proportion to my body and it bothers me. Intermittent electrical failure in 2002 Ford Focus.?

Car will run fine, then all of a sudden will stall and then not start again. Or I'll get home and park, then next time I try to start the car, nothing happens. It won't do anything until I jiggle the cables attaching to the battery. Any corrosion found has been removed and the wires rewired. Has anyone else had this issue? What caused it and how did you fix it? We're wanting to sell the car, but can't if it won't start! Plus I'm concerned about being stranded with no way home.

Why are brass knuckles and other weapons like switchblades illegal?

Now I know brass knuckles are deadly as all hell, but so are guns, tac knives, swords, daggers, grenades, etc. And people can own them and even use some. People also say "well a gun is traceable" and that's true but if u change the barrel before use and don't license it, it is virtually untraceable, people slip up and make rookie mistakes, that's why they get caught. Another point is that anything is a potential weapon, I mean the sky is literally the limit, if someone truly wishes to kill someone they will, weapons just make it quicker, easier and less complicated. People also frequently bring up the point that it has no practical defense application but neither do desert eagles but people own them, people can even own rocket launchers, assault rifles, sub machine guns, shotguns, full blown machine guns, LMGs, sniper rifles capable of taking out small armored vehicles, grenades, the list is endless but god forbid they have a f u c k i n g piece of brass that requires the person to be within 3 feet of the other guy. People but kitchen knife sets with butcher knives the size of full size daggers and just as sharp but why on earth should they have a three inch blade with a plastic handle. Car won't go out of park?

Car won't go out of park and even the mechanic can't fix it. The car is a 98 grand am. First the mechanic said the car needed a new shifter. The mechanic could not find a shifter for the car so he unlocked the shifter. The car was able to shift fine for a few days then it got stuck in park and when we banged on the shifter it came out of park. Took it back to the mechanic and he took the shifter out stuck his hand in it and jiggled the shifter and put it back in and said that should fix the problem. 5 days later and the car is stuck in park and banging on the shifter doesn't help. The brake lights come on and the brakes click but they wont go down. The car was hooked up to a diagnostic machine and the throttle position sensor was bad but the machine did not pick up anything else. The throttle position sensor was replaced. The car was slipping gears bad before the throttle position sensor was replaced. It seems the mechanic cannot pinpoint the problem with the shifter. The car will probably be stuck in park forever. Because a replacement shifter cannot be found can the old shifter be rebuilt? Is there anywhere on the internet besides ebay where a shifter for a 98 grand am can be bought? It is not the cable because the mechanic said that was fine. I do not know if he checked the fuses, brake switch or solenoids because he never said what he exactly did to the shifter the second time. It seems like I am being given the run around.
